These terms are the agreement between you and the site owner who runs Skaafin. By signing in you accept them. If you don't agree, please don't use Skaafin.
1. What Skaafin is
Skaafin is a free tool for keeping the records of roleplay economies on Elder Scrolls game servers: item lists, prices, stock, trades and letters. It is paperwork only. Goods and coin change hands inside the game, and Skaafin never moves them. Septims and other amounts in Skaafin are in-game roleplay values with no real-world worth.
Skaafin is an independent fan project. It is not made, endorsed or supported by Bethesda Softworks, ZeniMax Media, Microsoft or the SkyMP project. Game servers and communities that use Skaafin set and enforce their own rules.
2. Who can use it
- You must be 16 or older.
- You sign in with a Discord account and must follow Discord's terms.
- Keep your account to yourself. You are responsible for what is done with it.
3. Your content
You keep ownership of what you add (profile, character, letters, records). You give us permission to store it and show it to the people your organisations allow, as long as it is on Skaafin. You are responsible for it being accurate and lawful.
Don't post anything that:
- is unlawful, hateful, harassing or threatening
- is sexual content involving minors, or sexually explicit content in general
- shares someone's real-world personal information without their consent
- is spam or malware, or impersonates someone else
4. Organisations
Holds, stores and server teams are run by their members. The heads and staff of an organisation control its records, members and ranks, within the permissions Skaafin gives them. Disputes between players or organisations are for them (and their game server's staff) to settle, not Skaafin.
5. Fair use
Don't:
- try to get into accounts, organisations or data you haven't been given access to
- probe, overload or disrupt the site, or get around its limits
- scrape it or automate it in ways that burden it
Found a security problem? Please report it privately (see security.txt) rather than exploiting it.
6. Moderation and ending your use
The site owner and staff may remove content, suspend accounts or close organisations that break these terms or put the site or others at risk. Where it's reasonable, we'll explain why first. You can stop using Skaafin and delete your account at any time from your account settings.
7. No guarantees
Skaafin is free and run by volunteers. It is provided "as is": it may have mistakes, be unavailable, change or stop. Keep your own copies of anything important (lists can be exported). We take reasonable care, but we don't promise the records are complete or accurate.
8. Liability
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from using Skaafin, including lost records or in-game losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow to be limited, and nothing affects your statutory rights.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll say so in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Skaafin after that means you accept the new terms.
10. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes go to the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings there.
