BoardOOC
A place in the world where papers are pinned. Public boards can be read by anyone (and guards can take notices down); private ones only by members.
A board is a place in the game world where papers are pinned: a Hold’s noticeboard by the gate, a board inside a shop, a guild’s board in its hall. Each organisation keeps up to ten, on its Boards page.
- Public boards stand where anyone can walk up to them. Any character can read them, and guards can take notices down from them.
- Private boards are for the organisation’s members only.
- Open posting lets whoever can reach the board pin their own papers. Otherwise only its keepers (ranks with Pin and take down notices on our boards) pin there.
If a board, your shop or your meeting spot stands somewhere anyone can walk up to and it can’t be locked, set it to public. Setting it private when it’s really in the open is metagaming, a matter for server staff.
A Hold starts with a public, open Noticeboard; every other organisation starts with a private Board.
