VerifiedOOC
A business its Hold has recognised. Verified businesses are in the town directories, and can publish prices, send manifests and press their seal.
A verified business is one its Hold recognises. Stores and stalls made by a Hold are verified from the start. A trader is verified when its Hold says so; a trader with no Hold is verified by a ruling faction (it asks one, if several rule), or by the server’s staff where no faction rules. A ruler’s verification lasts while it still rules a Hold.
A trader can ask to be verified from its Standing page. The Hold’s court sees the request on its Home and answers it from the Hold’s Businesses page. The Hold can take verification back at any time, and it ends by itself when a business leaves that Hold.
What verification brings:
- A place in the Hold’s and towns’ business directories, with a checkmark.
- A public price list.
- Selling to the Hold with manifests.
- Announcements sent to verified businesses.
- The Hold’s Discord channels offered to businesses.
- Its own seal on documents.
Until then an unverified business still trades: it keeps its price list settings (the list stays hidden), builds manifest drafts (it sends them once verified), and follows any Discord channels required from above. A standalone store needs no verifying.
Anyone at the business’s page can see whether it is verified, and by whom. Its history (when it joined, left, was verified or refused) is for its members and the Hold’s court.
