CofferOOC

Your organisation's gold ledger. Every entry is written by hand; the balance is the sum.

The coffer is where your gold is written down. It is a ledger: entries are only ever added, and the balance is the sum of them all.

Entries come from:

  • Trades, when someone confirms coin received or paid, and refunds when a voided trade’s coin is given back.
  • Credit settled, when someone pays off their credit or you pay out what you owe them.
  • Deposits: coin put in, like the coin you started with.
  • Withdrawals: coin taken out, with a reason (“Wages”).
  • Expenses: coin spent, with what it was for (“Rent to the Jarl”).

Nothing is written automatically. The balance may go below zero if more has gone out than the books show coming in: a deposit for the coin you started with puts it right.

Seeing the coffer and writing deposits, withdrawals and expenses are separate rights on a rank.
