ReferenceOOC
Your own code for someone in your register, like a tab number. Search finds it, and no two people share one.
A reference is your organisation’s own label for someone in the register: a tab number, a page in your old ledger, “C-012”. It is optional.
- No two people in your register can have the same reference (capitals don’t matter).
- Searching the register, the counter’s customer picker and Go to… all find people by it.
- When you import customers, a row with a reference updates the person who has it, even if their name has changed.
