OwnershipOOC
One business or faction owning another, like a merchant house owning shops. The owner sees into what it owns; it doesn't run it.
A business or faction can own another business or faction: a merchant house owning shops in several Holds, or a guild owning its chapters. Holds, towns and the server are never owned.
- Asking. Open the other organisation’s page and choose “Ask to own”. Its head (anyone with the right to deal with ownership) accepts or declines on its Ownership page.
- What it gives. Everyone can see “Owned by …” on the owned organisation’s page. The owner’s ranks can look into what it owns, as a Hold looks into the businesses below it. Running it (members, ranks, settings) stays with the owned organisation.
- Passing it on. The owner can offer a holding to another organisation from that organisation’s page, with a price if it was sold. The price is only written down: pay it in game and record it in the coffer. The receiver accepts or declines; the owned organisation is told.
- Ending. Only the owner can let a holding go. The owned organisation can’t break free on its own. Server staff can end an ownership.
