PacksOOC
A number of the same item sold together, such as a Bundle of 24 arrows. Stock is still counted in single items.
A pack sells a number of the same item together: a Bundle of 24 arrows, a Crate of 6 mead, a Dozen eggs.
Stock stays in single items
Your stock is always counted one by one. Selling 2 Bundles of 24 takes 48 arrows out of stock; buying one in puts 24 back. The stock pages show the single count with the packs it makes, such as “48 · 2 × Bundle of 24”.
Prices
A pack sells at the size times the single price unless you give it its own price (for example a little cheaper than 24 singles). Items with condition price a pack in each condition the same way they price a single one. When you change a pack later, trades already made keep the name, size and price they were made with.
Packs only
Packs are optional. Without them, or alongside them, the item is bought and sold one by one as usual.
Tick Traded in packs only when you never deal in the item singly. The counter then offers only its packs, both when you sell and when you buy.
At the counter
Search for the item and its packs show beside it, on Sell and on Buy. A pack line counts packs, and its price is per pack: its sell price when selling, its buy price when buying.
Setting them up
Open the item in your catalogue and use Add packs. You can also bring packs in from a spreadsheet: a Packs column such as “Bundle of 24: 24 @ 30 / 12” (name, size, then the sell and buy price if it has its own) and a Packs only column with yes or no.
Materials, making, Hold minimums and manifests always count single items.
