Calling cardOOC

What a character hands over in character, like giving a name. Clerks take it with the code on the card.

A calling card is how your character introduces themselves to a shop or a court: a name, a race, a few lines, and a portrait if you like. You can make several, one for each name you go by.

Handing one over

Each card has a code (like K7QM). In game, tell the clerk the code, as you would hand over a card. They type it into their register or at the counter, see the card, and take it. From then on their entry for you shows the card, kept up to date when you change it.

  • They see the card only, never which character or player is behind it.
  • On your cards page you see which organisations hold each card.
  • New code: the old code stops working for anyone new; those who hold the card keep it.
  • Withdraw: everyone holding it sees only that it was withdrawn. You can use it again later.

For clerks

Someone gives you a code? Use They gave you a calling card in the customer picker at the counter, or on the Known persons page. If you already hold the card, you are taken to that entry. On a person’s page you can link a card to an entry you already have.
