Notifications and pushOOC
Choose what reaches you in the app, as a push on each device, and on Discord.
Every notification can reach you in three ways, and you pick them per kind (letters, announcements, rank changes and so on) on Profile → Notifications:
- App: the bell and the inbox. A kind switched off here still shows in the inbox; it just doesn’t raise the bell.
- Push: a notification on this phone or computer, even when Skaafin isn’t open. Turn it on per device with “Turn on push here” and allow notifications when the browser asks. Each device picks its own kinds. Signing out on a device turns its push off.
- Discord: a direct message from the Skaafin bot. It only reaches you while you share a Discord server with the bot.
A push shows your character’s name and the title, never the text of a letter. Tapping it opens the notification and switches to that character if needed.
Installing the app
Skaafin can be installed like an app: in Chrome or Edge use “Install” in the menu; on Android, “Add to Home screen”. On an iPhone or iPad, push only works from the installed app: in Safari tap Share, then Add to Home Screen, and turn on push from the app.
